Cookies used on ixila.com, cookie-free audience measurement, and how to manage them.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file placed by your browser when you visit a website. It stores information about your navigation (chosen language, active session, etc.) and enhances your user experience.
A website may also store information in the browser's "local storage", which is not a cookie: it is never sent automatically with your requests and remains readable only by the site that wrote it. We use it for audience measurement, described in section 2.
2. Cookies and audience measurement on ixila.com
Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are essential for the proper operation of the site. They cannot be disabled and do not require your consent.
- ixila_session — admin user session management, 30 minutes
- csrf_token — protection against CSRF attacks (contact form)
- ixila_lang — stores your language (FR/EN), 30 days
Audience measurement (statistics) — cookie-free
We measure site traffic — pages viewed, referring site, visit duration — without placing any cookie and without collecting personal data. No name, no email address and no IP address is retained by this tool.
To tell a first visit from a return, the tool stores a random identifier in your browser's local storage, linked to no information about you:
- wildcard-audience-visiteur — random identifier, retained 13 months
- wildcard-audience-visite — current visit, expires after 30 minutes of inactivity
This information is never matched with the data you send us through a form. Your country is derived at the start of the visit without your IP address being retained. Because no cookie is placed and no personal data is processed, this measurement does not require your prior consent.
Measurement is provided by Nowayn, published by SAXHO SARL (IXILA's parent company), an application hosted in France — see the list of our sub-processors in our privacy policy.
No advertising tracking tool and no third-party ad network (Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, etc.) is deployed on this site.
3. How to manage your cookies?
You can at any time:
- Clear the site data stored by your browser — this also deletes the audience measurement identifier described above
- Delete already-stored cookies via your browser settings
- Configure your browser to refuse all cookies (this may affect the proper functioning of certain features of the site)
